PROSPECTIVE PARENT-PLAYER FAQ

How long has Muscle Baseball been around?
We will be celebrating our 5th anniversary with the forming of our 2024-25 teams.

Where does Muscle Baseball play and practice

Our home outdoor fields are based in the Morton Grove area. Our 8u-12u teams play at Harrer Park and our 13u plays at Prairie View, both based in Morton Grove. Our 14u, 15u, and 16u teams play at Niles West.

Where does Muscle Baseball train in the offseason/winter

All teams train at our premier 5,000 square foot indoor facility, the Muscle Athletics Center in Lincolnwood. The MAC includes hitting and pitching lanes, arm care station, and open flex space. The MAC has (3) ATEC M3X pitching machines (what high profile colleges use), Rapsodo hitting technology, and Pocket Radar displays. All Muscle players receive a FREE Rapsodo account to track hitting performance and development.

All teams practice in the fall and throughout Jan-March. With the exception of our high school teams, we take a program holiday break from team activities. High School players train throughout the fall and early winter to prepare for high school tryouts.

What leagues/tournaments does Muscle play in?
Leagues may vary by team between LSFBL and MSBL. The majority of opponents are in the northern suburbs of Chicago. In addition to league play, Muscle teams play in 4-6 tournaments a year based on age. We mostly play in local tournaments in the Chicago area, including our annual host tournament in Morton Grove in June. Our program also organizes one annual out of state tournament for all teams. The past few years those tournaments have been in Wisconsin and Iowa.

How many teams does Muscle Baseball have each year at each level?
For the 2023-2024 season we have one team at each level, with the exception at 10u where we have two teams. We typically form a single team per level but approach each season individually. While we have the ability to form multiple teams across levels, we only form multiple teams that can compete at a high level.

If multiple teams are formed, would my player know what team they are on from the start?
Yes. Players that receive offers are notified of their team and their coaching staff upfront.

Can my player play Muscle Baseball in addition to other sports?
Yes! We love and embrace multi-sport athletes. Youth players benefit greatly from playing multiple sports and we firmly believe in that philosophy.

What is the cost to play Muscle Baseball?

Cost varies by age level. Our cost structure is competitive and all costs are outlined when offers are made. Players who are invited to join Muscle Baseball receive highly instructional coaching, fall jerseys, winter training, FREE Rapsodo account, access to coaches throughout the program, and substantial discounts on equipment from Wilson, EvoShield, Louisville Slugger, DeMarini, and ATEC.
